for painting class. the teacher put on a slide, and we all painted this historical painting of the london fire in the dark. the focus was to abstract it and to pay attention to color.
wow, that's so cool. if it was dark how could you tell which colors you were using? did you memorize the order in which you placed them? and was it so dark that you could absolutely not see what you were doing, or could you see a little bit?
anyway, great outcome, i love the rectangular shapes
it was dim, to which our teacher said "its like an experience of painting in the 19th century!". you could sort of see the canvas, but mostly youd take a break after an hour, bring the canvas out into the hallway, and say "oh that looks terrible".
The effect of this is amazing. I love the impressionistic style, you've kept it from getting "muddy" rather well, which is all too easy to do with that technique. The fire looks awesome.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
